Vacheron Constantin Suite 1755 at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira Dubai

Vacheron Constantin, the esteemed Swiss watchmaker with a heritage dating back to 1755, is pleased to introduce the exclusive Lounge 1755, embodying the pioneering spirit of the region. Meticulously crafted to provide a truly tailored experience for discerning collectors and passionate watch enthusiasts, the Suite 1755 draws inspiration from the diverse culture of the Emirates.

Initially launched globally in Dubai in 2022, the Vacheron Constantin Suite 1755 has since been replicated in five countries around the world. Opening its doors to clients from October 2023 at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Suite 1755 seamlessly blends local heritage, cultural traditions, and craftsmanship through thoughtfully curated workshops and experiences.

Occupying the second floor of the hotel, this destination offers an expansive space with a breathtaking seafront setting overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Arabian Gulf.

Christophe Ramel, Managing Director of Vacheron Constantin Middle East, India, and Africa, expresses the brand’s excitement about bringing Suite 1755 back to Dubai. He emphasizes Vacheron Constantin’s commitment not only to crafting exceptional timepieces but also to preserving the artistry and savoir-faire that have defined the Maison since 1755. The space is envisioned as a place to build enduring connections, weave stories, and create lasting bonds with connoisseurs, watch enthusiasts, and kindred spirits.

Designed by renowned Dubai-based Saudi architect and interior designer Danah Almohaisin, Suite 1755 is a testament to the Maison’s unwavering commitment to excellence. Almohaisin’s creative touch draws inspiration from the Bastakiya, with clay brick frames in the Main Majlis and bespoke floor textiles replicating the unfurling of sand dunes. The ancient art of ‘Khous’ weaving is employed to handmake wallpaper in Khaleeji traditions, filling the space with timeless references.

In a tribute to the local community, Suite 1755 showcases carefully curated art pieces from Tashkeel, a nonprofit organization fostering the UAE’s creative industries. Notable contributions include conceptual Arabic calligraphy by artist Wissam Shawkat, alongside exclusive Vacheron Constantin heritage timepieces. Local artists such as Khalid Alshafar, Abdulrahman Alhammadi, Muneerah Almullah, Feryal Albastaki, Omar Al Gurg, Amna Alhabtoor, and Sarah Almaddah have also left their creative mark on the space, adding a unique and vibrant touch to the Lounge 1755 experience.
