French Air & Space Force Collaborates with YEMA for New Collection
In an exciting partnership, the French Air and Space Force has joined forces with YEMA to introduce a groundbreaking collection of purpose-built military aviation timepieces. The new collection, unveiled for 2024, showcases three Flieger Type A models crafted from titanium and equipped with the innovative YEMA2000 automatic in-house caliber, along with two mechanical-quartz chronographs.
These timepieces are now available for both military personnel and the general public.
Flygraf Flieger French Air Force
Crafted in close collaboration with the French Air and Space Force, the Flygraf Flieger is a contemporary reinterpretation of the iconic military aviation watch. Boasting a lightweight and durable titanium case, this model features the YEMA 2000 in-house caliber.
Titanium Case
Constructed from Grade 2 titanium, the case is remarkably lightweight yet resilient, offering improved resistance to shocks and corrosion. Its sandblasted matte finish, coupled with the darker hue of titanium, exudes a distinct military aesthetic. With dimensions of 40mm and a thickness of under 10mm, the case ensures a comfortable fit on all wrists.
Military-Inspired Dial
The Flieger Type A dial boasts Arabic numeral indexes with a steel finish, complemented by a cream-colored triangular marker at 12 o’clock. A discreet date window at 6 o’clock seamlessly integrates into the dial.
Enhanced Features
Featuring an oversized crown for easy manipulation, the timepiece incorporates a double-dome sapphire crystal for enhanced readability and durability. The caseback proudly displays the emblem of the French Air Force.
YEMA2000 In-House Caliber
Powered by the second-generation YEMA2000 caliber, this timepiece offers superior performance with a daily rate of +/- 10 s/d and a power reserve of 42 hours.
French Air Force Canvas Strap
Specially designed for this military timepiece, the canvas strap bears the French Air Force logo, ensuring both style and comfort.
Flygraf Bi-Compax French Air Force
Developed in collaboration with the French Air Force, the Flygraf Bi-Compax boasts Seiko’s VK61 hybrid caliber and features a vertical bi-compax chronograph.
VK61 Meca-Quartz Caliber
Combining quartz precision with mechanical chronograph functionality, the VK61 caliber ensures smooth operation of the chronograph’s central hand. The chronograph sub-registers at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock provide additional timing features.

With a matte satin finish, the case, crown, and pushers exude elegance, accentuated by the embossed French Air Force logo.

Coated with Super-LumiNova, the hands and hour markers ensure perfect readability in low-light conditions.
