Zenith Chronomaster Sport Metallic Blue

ZENITH has introduced a new addition to its Chronomaster Sport line, featuring a steel case and a striking metallic blue dial. This new version pays homage to the brand’s heritage and draws inspiration from iconic El Primero references from the 1980s and 1990s, such as the “DeLuca” and “Rainbow” models.

The Chronomaster Sport is renowned for its high-frequency automatic chronograph capabilities and won the prestigious 2021 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève “Chronograph” prize. It boasts a 1/10th of a second chronograph function, with the elapsed time displayed on the bezel over 10 seconds. With a sporty and contemporary design, the Chronomaster Sport now comes with a polished steel bezel and a vibrant blue tricolour dial.

The blue dial is finished with a sunburst texture, adding depth and contrast to the design. The tricolour dial, a signature El Primero feature, is reimagined in this new context. The chronograph counters, date wheel, and dial all feature varying shades of blue and grey, creating a visually appealing and harmonious look.

One of the notable changes in this new model is the 1/10th of a second bezel, which is now crafted from stainless steel instead of ceramic, giving it a retro appearance reminiscent of older El Primero models. The watch is presented in a 41mm steel case with pump-style pushers, and it comes with a three-link steel bracelet featuring an adjustable clasp for a sporty yet chic overall appearance.

Underneath the hood, the Chronomaster Sport is equipped with the El Primero 3600 caliber, which operates at a high frequency of 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), providing a true 1/10th of a second indication. Additionally, it offers an extended power reserve of 60 hours, making it both accurate and practical for everyday wear. The movement’s design is visible through the sapphire display back, showcasing a contemporary architecture with a blue column wheel and an open rotor marked with the Zenith five-pointed star.

The Chronomaster Sport in steel with a blue dial is now part of the core collection and can be found at ZENITH boutiques and authorized ZENITH retailers worldwide. It combines modern technology with a touch of vintage-inspired aesthetics, making it an appealing choice for watch enthusiasts.
